Dear Friends - 

On the Autumn Equinox, September 22nd 2017,  The Elderberries Three-Fold Café Initiative surpassed their crowdfunding goal, raising $25,690, enabling them to pave the way for a 3-Fold Café in the Heart-land!

Daniel Evaeus came in from LA for the PDF Michaelmas Festival on the 23rd.

On Sunday September 24th 2017 a group of over 35 folks from the various Steiner initiatives in the area including: The Chicago Waldorf School, & The Urban Prairie Waldorf School, The Chicago Christian Community, Arcturus, & the Rudolf Steiner Branch, gathered to have an ‘Open Conversation’ with  John Bloom, the General Secretary of the Anthroposophical Society in the US, his associate from  RSF Mark Herrera, & Daniel Evaeus from the Elderberries 3-Fold Café.

2nd and 4th Sundays, 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm. Intentional Anthroposophical Community Study Group. Reading:  Awakening to Community by Rudolf Steiner, and a pamphlet - From the Basic Ideas of Rudolf Steiner on The Threefold Social Order by G. Wednesday Evenings, 7:00-9:00 pm. This study group is working with The Boundaries of Natural Science, by Rudolf Steiner. All who are interested are welcome to join us. For more information, call David Kavesh (312-451-9872)

Third Thursday mornings, 10:30 am - Noon.  Once a month this group will study “Sleep and Death”, Chapter 3 in Rudolf Steiner’s book, An Outline of Esoteric Science. Please feel free to join us. Thursday Evenings, 7:00 - 9:00 pm. The Threshold of the Spiritual World. For more information, contact Clark Remington (773-595-5793).

First Class meets on the third Saturday of each month. (with some exceptions, *see below) The lesson begins promptly at 6:00 pm.  Please arrive ahead of time, so you have a chance to come into the mood of the class before the lesson begins. What is The PDF School of Spiritual Science?

After the reading of the lesson, we will take a short break.  We will reconvene in a circle for conversation about the lesson.  Ending time is approximately 9:00 pm.

It is with deep sadness that I must report that our friend, Cynthia Trevillion was tragically killed on Friday October 13th 2017, evening.  Cynthia and John were walking to meet friends for dinner when they were caught in the crossfire of a shooting.

On Saturday, October 28 at from 2:00-5:00pm there will be a Celebration of Cynthia at the Chicago Waldorf School.

The Cynthia Trevillion Funeral Fund has now raised over $29,000.  If you have given to this fund, thank you very much for your generous and loving support.
