The Fourth Goetheanum - Lecture by Prof. Douglas Miller

Great Lakes Branch First Tuesday Lecture [Oct 2, 7:30pm, Rudolf Steiner House Ann Arbor]

At 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, Douglas Miller will speak about The Fourth Goetheanum as part of the Great Lakes Branch First Tuesday lectures. This talk will be the last in a series of 6 annual lectures on the Goetheanum, a series begun by Dr. Miller in 2013 to commemorate Rudolf Steiner's laying of the foundation stone for the First Goetheanum. Dr. Miller's talk will be accompanied by slides. Please plan to join us to enjoy this talk and to thank Douglas Miller for an excellent series that has spanned 5 years and broadened our understanding of the Goetheanum.

Professor Miller is a long time anthroposophist and an expert with regard to the Goetheanum, the building that serves as the international headquarters of the Anthroposophical Society, the building that began with the laying of a foundation stone on September 20, 1913, the building that was then burned to the ground ten years later by an arsonist, and the building that was then rebuilt after Rudolf Steiner's death from plans initiated by Rudolf Steiner before his death. Prof. Miller has presented us in the past with thoughtful and fascinating presentations about the Goetheanum. The October 3 First Tuesday lecture will continue and conclude that tradition.

Douglas Miller is retired from a career as a Professor of German at the University of Michigan - Flint. He has been a student of anthroposophy for many years. He has served on the council of the Anthroposophical Society in America. He was for many years the editor of the Society's News for Members. He is currently a class leader.

First Tuesday is brought to you by the Great Lakes Branch of the Anthroposophical Society in America. There is no admission charge. Donations are welcome.
