Though our previously scheduled weekend workshop will not take place in person, we are still able to host this Friday evening portion of our gathering.
"Understanding the Seasonal Star Picture in Relation to the Great Conjunction"
An introduction to understanding this current celestial gesture, and to provide ways to engage with it, through research, artistic activity, and ceremony. Such an approach is driven by the idea that the writing of the stars, in our age, can and must be experienced as our own deeds inscribed into the cosmic spaces.
Friends, the morning stars have gathered together, and so will we, to explore our role on the cosmic conversation now unfolding overhead. The morning star picture includes the waning Crescent Moon with Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn, while Mercury hugs the dawn horizon and Venus is brilliant as the lone evening star. This gathering inaugurates a season of preparing for the Great Conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter that will take place nine months from now, at Winter Solstice 2020, a rhythmic though rare meeting that has a history of defining the mood of a generation, as though it would bear an annunciation into our midst.
The format for our 2-hour webinar will include a historical overview of astrology, astronomy, and astrosophy, to provide an informed context from which to understand what is taking place in the star picture now. In addition to considering the Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn, Mary will share information regarding the Venus Pentagram, the Metonic Rhythm, and the Moon's Nodes.
There will be ample time for questions and answers, and the webinar will be recorded.
