During this 5 day workshop, we will explore how those clues can illuminate Shakespeare's seemingly arcane language and reveal meaning, sense, rhythm, pace and character. We will work with the text of As You Like It.
Warm ups will include Chekhov technique, Spacial Dynamics® exercises, and improvisation games.

The class is open to everyone.
Melania Levitsky teaches at the Michael Chekhov Studio in New York City. She is the Artistic Director of Nikita Productions and the Associate Artistic Director of Walking the dog Theater, who jointly produce Hawthorne Valley's yearly Shakespeare in the Village, which she directs. Past productions for Shakespeare in the Village include Richard II, Shakespeare's Supernaturals, and The Winter's Tale. Other recent productions as director include Self-Made Man: the Life of Frederick Douglass, and Chekhovek, both produced Off-Broadway in NYC. She is a graduate of Spacial Dynamics Institute's Level I training and certified in Bothmer Gymnastics.
