Joan Sleigh was born and raised in Camphill, South Africa. Moved to Germany in 1982, family and training as Waldorf Class Teacher in Witten-Annen. Returned to Cape Town in 1995. Teaching at Michael Oak Waldorf School until 2012; lecturer at the Center for Creative Education from 2006 – 2012. Member of the International Forum for Steiner Schools (Hague Circle); co-ordinator of the Pedagogical Section in Cape Town since 2010. Member of the Executive Council at the Goetheanum since April 2013; coresponsible for the Anthroposophical Studies in English.
